Orthodox Easter in Romania

Hubby just got back from a week visit to Romania, the country we left with no regrets. We still have most of our family there, and hubby was somehow pushed to go back because of his father condition. I will not talk about this, the reason I started this post is because of the Orthodox Easter Romania celebrated last Sunday and the enormous, gigantic meals that are served with it.

Here is the roasted lamb that looks absolutely delicious.

And this is a modern look of the coloured eggs, which, at origin were red only. Times change 😉

  1. mie-mi placea de paste cind ii dadea tiranu de maica-mea ( inraita anti-vita/miel/curcan/iepure/capra/spanac/verdeturi/si cam toate celelalte) voie lui taica-mio sa pregateasca miel, si cind nu trebuia sa torn picatura cu picatura uleiul in tonele de maioneza pentru salata boeuf cu pui a maica-mii. si, deci, mai puneam si io altceva pe masea decit friptura de porccccc…chhh, nu po nici macar sa mai gindesc cuvintele astea! saraca de mine:D

  2. iote na! si wordpressu face nazuri!(desi, unii zic ca e de la computerul meu) dar, spre deosebire de yahu, a luat comentariul, minca-l-as io de destept!
    apai, mai voiam sa zic ca da, friptura aia arata exemplar, si ca sper ca socrul tau o sa fie bine, si ca m-a uitat la poze si era cit pe ce sa te felicit cu cei treij de ani, da dup’aia am vazut ca asta fu cu miilta vreme in urma, acu esti aproape mai batrina:D
    si cam atita, cred.

    inca ma mai laud cu cei trij de ani, dar treaba se va schimba in cateva luni. mi-a placut cum aratau lumanarile de abia stinse, trantite pe farfuria de unica folosinta.
    tiranie si la soacra-mea acasa, doar ca ea prefera vita ( te miri?). acu’ a trebuit sa faca miel ca , deh, venea fi-su, dupa 4 ani si asa e frumos.
    socrelul e un pic mai bine, multumesc.
